In-ground worm bins for beds

A composter for raised beds is an in-ground worm bin. You bury it in the soil of the bed, and it holds food waste while worms move in and out through open bottoms or holes. These are small units, often sold in packs of two or four, and they sit flush with the soil surface.

How it differs from a tumbler

A tumbler is a above-ground batch bin you rotate to mix and aerate. An in-ground worm bin stays put in the bed and relies on worms and soil contact to break down scraps. You do not turn it. You bury it once and feed it.
