How the filter works

A charcoal or carbon filter sits in the lid or a vented section to trap odors from decomposing scraps. The filter is replaceable, and several bins ship with multiple filters. It targets smell, not pests or liquid.

Build and placement

These bins are countertop pails, mostly 1 gallon or smaller, with a lid that holds the filter. Materials include 304 stainless steel and plastic, and some have a carrying handle. The filter fits into a recessed area in the lid so air passes through before escaping.

Sizes and colors

Limits of the filter
